Tips & Tricks

  • Double the amount of flour if you don’t have cornstarch.
  • Feel free to use orange or apple juice instead of water to add a different flavor to your bbq sauce.  
  • If you’re short on time throw everything into a food blender (you can leave the garlic whole) then cook over medium heat and bring to a boil, until sauce has thickened. 
  • Use the leftover sauce to make a yummy bbq salad dressing.

  • Add garlic, seasoning, Italian seasoning, worcestershire sauce, water, tomato paste and cornstarch in a food blender, and blitz on high for 15-20 seconds until smooth. Pour into the pot, bring mixture to a boil, until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in butter.
