Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic chopped fine
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 bay leaf
- ¼ cup white wine
- 29 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon raw cane sugar
- 15 leaves chopped basil
Instructions
- Heat oil in a medium pot over medium heat, add garlic, Italian seasoning and bay leaf, cook for 15 seconds. Add the white wine, tomato sauce, kosher salt, black pepper and sugar. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 6 minutes. Stir in half the basil, remove bay leaf before serving and garnish with remaining basil.
